L.A. twosome FRENSHIP don't just have one of the sweetest band-names we've heard in a long old while, they're also creating equally delicate and warming pop music to match. The pair haven't revealed themselves to the world as yet, despite having worked for nearly two years under the moniker, but that's fine, because new 'Nowhere' provides all the personality we need from our contemporary SoundCloud stars. Sugared vocal melodies are vaulted skyward by some gloriously retro synth hooks, breezily guitar strums and choppy drum machines, 'Nowhere' is as incisively poppy as it is welcoming and familiar. A fine effort from a band who finally seem to have found their own unique sound. - DC
